Syracuse Extends Scholarship Offer To HS Freshman Tyus Battle

Syracuse extended a scholarship offer to Tyus Battle, a 6-4 guard who is regarded as one of the top incoming freshmen in the nation.

The 14-year-old Battle has offers from Rutgers, Miami and Rhode Island.

Ennis, a 6-2 point guard, is from the Toronto area.

Ennis also considered Illinois, Louisville, Memphis and UCLA.

Tyler Ennis will announce his college decision on Thursday.

Ennis, who plays AAU for CIA Bounce, will choose between Syracuse, Illinois, Louisville, Memphis and UCLA.

Syracuse is considered the frontrunner and is the closest school to Ennis' home in Toronto.

Adrian Autry, assistant coach for Syracuse, attended every game Ennis played in during the month of July.

Iverson visited Uconn this week and will also meet with his other three finalists before making a decision.
